Furthermore, Dieulefit is the gateway to the newly designated regional natural park of the Baronnies Provençales. Perhaps you would like to include some culture? The potteries at Dieulefit date back 2000 years! Today, the 30 potters and ceramic designers who continue and renew this ancient craft have been joined by other artists and painters. Their galleries and workshops welcome visitors. You can stroll through the narrow cobbled streets of the Viale, the old town, where the houses with their terracotta roofs are linked by tiny gardens shaded by fig trees. You can explore the architectural heritage of Dieulefit and its surroundings with their long religious history, the protestant and catholic churches, and the Romanesque chapels. For evening entertainment, you can choose between an art-house cinema, concerts, and festivals of modern and classical music. Here in Dieulefit cooking is also an art-form: you can appreciate the rich flavours of organic ingredients and the local specialities: for example the ‘Picodon' (the little round goats cheese) which has its own AOC, lavender honey, and last but not least the truffles. "Dieulefit Infos", le journal municipal de Dieulefit, a été récompensé le 27 novembre 2009 par les "trophées de la communication 2009". Il a obtenu le 3ème prix parmi les centaines de journaux municipaux de la catégorie "villes de moins de 10.000 habitants".
Ce prix vient récompenser et encourager les élus municipaux de Dieulefit qui se sont engagés pour améliorer la communication entre élus et citoyens, mais également Sonia CERVANTES, de la société BATATRA, graphiste dieulefitoise.
